A trip to Tawa was organised by Royal Enfield for its riders on 10th and 11th November, 2012. They covered about 800 kms in 2 days.
Tawa Reservoir is located at Hoshangabad District in Madhya Pradesh. This large reservoir is located on The Tawa River. This reservoir was created only after the building of the Tawa Dam, which began in the year 1958 and the construction work was completed in the year 1978. At the time of the construction of the Tawa reservoir, almost forty-four villages were submerged.
The Tawa is the Narmada’s longest tributary, at 172 km. It rises in the Satpura Range of Betul and flowing north and west, joins the Narmada at the village of Bandra Bhan in Hoshangabad District.
