Monsoon ride to Salbardi . It’s an not a very popular place among the tourists but it’s a beautiful place between Nagpur and Amravati. A perfect hill station with a beautiful view.
6 Riders of Royal Eagles did a ride of about 300 kms and trekking of 4 kms in heavy rains
The road goes from Nagpur to Salbardi via Katol, Warud and there is a diversion before Morshi. The road condition is excellent. The fun part is 7 kms rural road which connects the highway to Salbardi village.
Once you reach at the foot of the hill, you will find a few shops selling soft drinks and snacks. There are no restaurants or hotels at this place. If you are planning a full day outing, make sure you bring your own food. Bottled water is available here.
You have to do a trekking of about 2 kilometers on the hill to reach at the top. During the trekking, there are a few stalls which sell lemon water, snacks and water.
Once you reach the top of the hill, you will feel a cool breeze of air and a magnificent view.
There is a cave in a hill by the village, approached through a long narrow passage, contains an idol of Mahadeva. It is believed that an underground passage leads from this cave to Mahadeva hill at Pancmadhi.
Overall it’s fun being there for one day. The distance from Nagpur is about 150 kms which can be done in one day. Have fun and enjoy!!!
